How it all begins.

Here's to new beginnings.
I'm not quite sure where to begin, but one thing is for certain, you'll never get anywhere in life without taking that first step. And so, from here, I begin a new path in my life by making that step, and though I may stray into the unknown on this journey, I hope and believe that my efforts will be worthwhile. Through this log of whimsy and wisdom, I intend to chart my progress through my thoughts, experiences, my successes and failings, as I forge ahead. While I don't expect to reach an audience, if, through my shared chronicle, others find either inspiration or are moved to provide their own sage council, I hope that through providing such insight and the sharing of ideas, we will contribute to the collective consciousness and benefit of all.

Who I am matters little, in fact, I prefer sharing my thoughts as a persona incognita. I believe it's entirely understandable if I wish to retain some level of anonymity in the "age of information" where base narcissism and abject voyeurism have become quite the norm. While not the aim of my efforts, my writing will invariably be about me, but it is also my goal to include the ideas and, hopefully, stimulating works of others.

I've chosen an open and public format to share my musings, but honestly, they are largely for my own benefit and personal growth. However, I do hope that any thoughts and experiences I share will provide some guidance, empathy and understanding for anyone interested enough to read about them.
